Kraft Bag Guide
Choose kraft paper bags, handles, grease resistance, printing, and bag size around real takeaway or retail use rather than appearance alone.

Bakery, takeaway, grocery, and fashion retail bags do different jobs. Hot or greasy food, condensation, sharp box corners, and long carry times all change the paper, barrier, handle, and bottom reinforcement needed.
Tell the supplier whether food touches the bag directly or sits inside another wrapper. Food contact requirements depend on the market and the complete material system, not the word kraft on the outside.
The U.S. FDA states that PFAS-containing grease-proofing substances are no longer sold for paper food packaging in the U.S. market, and related food contact notifications were no longer effective in 2025. Buyers should ask for the intended barrier chemistry and documentation instead of assuming every grease-resistant paper is equivalent.
For EU sales, food-contact packaging must meet applicable safety and good manufacturing practice requirements. Confirm the food type, contact time, temperature, and destination market before material approval.
A bag that is too narrow is hard to load; one that is too wide wastes paper and moves in the carton. Provide the maximum packed width, height, depth, and weight. A simple load test with the real order is more useful than choosing from a photo.
